My love of photography began at a very early age, and has not stopped since. In high school, I was a photographer for the school newspaper and for the yearbook. During my college years I focused on my studies, however, this did not stop me from pursuing my love of photography. Since then I have had the opportunity to shoot professional baseball games for the Houston Astros, have had work published in local magazines, and even have had my photos published in a textbook.
When I don't have a camera in my hand (which is rare), you will usually find me on a softball field. I had the opportunity to play NCAA fastpitch softball for the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. I now play slowpitch softball on a few competitive teams, as well as play the occasional tournament on weekends that I'm not shooting weddings.
things i love:
01: FAMILY
My husband Nathanial and I met in 2010, and tied the knot back in 2014 in New Orleans. We have been beyond blessed in the additional of our family with Charlee Rose and Weston Oliver (did you catch significance of their names?). Without my husband and two crazy kids, I wouldn’t be the woman I am. They keep me grounded & cheer me on, regardless of the outcome.
02.CAREER
I am lucky enough to have not one, but two amazing careers. My “other” career is working as an occupational therapist in an inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital, mainly with individuals with strokes and brain injuries. I see people at some of their lowest and darkest of times, and get to help pull them out and show them there is still an amazing life ahead of them!
03: TRAVEL
Whether it’s a quick road trip down the highway or a plane ticket somewhere, count me in! My family and I love spending weekends traveling around and site seeing in our cute pop-up camper!
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught in a photograph is captured forever…it remembers little things long after you have forgotten everything”.
I work out of my on-site studio in north Fort Worth, but love shooting in outdoor natural settings. I love to create & preserve memories for my clients for years & years to come. There is nothing greater than to be able to share this gift with the rest of the world.
Being an artist is something I knew I wanted to be from the time I was teeny tiny. Seeing this dream come true is something I’m forever grateful for.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my little space on the web!
